Alexis Smith MS, SLP

Alexis graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Master’s in Communication Sciences & Disorders in 2025. She has clinical experience working with children across a range of needs, including augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), early speech sound development, receptive and expressive language delays, and childhood apraxia of speech. Alexis is passionate about helping children find their voice and build confidence in communication. She takes a child-centered approach to therapy, incorporating play-based and functional activities that are both engaging and meaningful. Alexis believes in fostering strong relationships with families to support carryover of skills beyond the therapy room and values collaboration as a key part of her practice.

Outside of the clinic, Alexis enjoys hiking in nature, playing tennis, getting lost in a good book, and spending quality time with her husband and their new puppy, Fiona. Born and raised in Rhode Island, she is enjoying getting to explore Seattle and the Pacific Northwest!
