Dakota Mills, A.A.S., Certified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
Dakota graduated with honors from Alexandria Technical and Community College with an Associate of Applied Science degree as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. Her clinical experience includes internships at Coupeville Elementary School and Butterfly Pediatric Therapy, where she discovered a passion for the child-led, play-based approach to therapy and saw firsthand its effectiveness in helping children develop their communication skills.
Dakota is passionate about helping children find confidence in their communication and creating a positive, supportive environment where they can feel successful. She will continue her education through Utah State University this fall as she works toward furthering her career.
Outside of work and school, Dakota enjoys hiking with her two dogs, Nova and Berkley, riding horses and traveling. Although born in Washington, she grew up in Iowa initially following her dance career of teaching kids and directing a competition team. Dakota is excited to be back in Washington following her passion of working with kids now in the field of speech and language!
