Matthew McDermott OTR/L

Hello, I have been an occupational therapist for the past eight years by way of Tennessee State in Nashville. In my first years I did travel therapy and worked in many different types of settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, hand therapy, and nursing homes.  Since I had worked as a teacher overseas for several years and have family in the education world I wanted to give school OT a try.  I have been at Seattle Public Schools since 2021.  Wanting to work more in the pediatric setting I started at a peds clinic in 2024 and then in 2025 found myself at Butterfly Pediatrics. I enjoy the energy and nuance of working with a younger population.  Interesting facts/interests about me: I am a twin with four brothers total.  I've been to 44 countries.  I am very physically active even at 45 years old.
